2006
7/7/06 - 7/16/06 - We visited Bill's sister, Liz, and her family in Roseburg, OR and Tyler got to meet his cousins, Jesse and Luke. Later in the week Bill's sister Cheryl and her husband, Matt came down from Portland to visit. They also brought along their son, Jonathan, and his family. Then right before we left Liz's daughter, Tahara, and her family came up from L.A. So in one trip Tyler got to meet a whole bunch of family!

7/8/06 - Roseburg was hosting a classic car show so we checked it out. Bill got to ogle some of the classic Mustangs Fastbacks that he likes. Then when we go back to Liz and Doug's Tyler got to hang out at the pool.

7/9/06 - Tyler had such a good time on the Fourth of July watching
the fireworks that we thought we would try some firecrackers since firecrackers
are not legal where we live in California. After a couple of initial scares
over the loud ones he started enjoying himself.

7/10/06 - Roseburg has a wildlife animal park where you drive
through and check out the animals. So we decided to check it out with Liz, Doug
and Luke. Tyler had fun checking out all the animals, but I think he had more
fun driving the car (with Daddy's help of course).

7/12/06 - Most of our week was spent just relaxing at Liz and
Doug's house, enjoying not having to be anywhere and not having anything to do.
Liz and Doug's house is on the South Umpqua River where there is plenty of
fishing for Small Mouth Bass. Luke did a great job as captain of the boat and
took Bill and Tyler out to see the fish. After Tyler got over his initial grief
over having to wear the life jacket he enjoyed checking out the water.

7/14/06 - Late Thursday night, July 13th. Cheryl and her family
drove down from the Portland area and stayed a couple of nights at Liz's. It
was nice to be able to have a chance to catch up with her and to have her and
her family meet Tyler for the first time. We also got to meet Bill's niece
(grand-niece?), Chloe for the first time. We're so used to Tyler being the
youngest it was weird seeing him next to a 1-year-old!

7/15/06 - Tahara and her family drove up from the L.A. area to
spend a couple of weeks at Liz's. It was also our first chance to meet Aleena,
Tahara's youngest and for Tahara and her family to meet Tyler. Tyler had lots
of fun playing with his cousins. He wore out Luke before Luke wore him out!
